TPP Middle East, the Middle Eastern subsidiary of Leeds software company Phoenix Partnership has signed a major healthcare deal in Qatar.

The firm will be delivering a £21 million software project (SystmOne) to the private healthcare sector over the next five years.

Medical records will be shared across the country to 300 care sites across Qatar.

“This contract demonstrates the commitment that healthcare providers in Qatar have to improving healthcare services and ensuring reliable information systems are in place for the benefit of the patient. There is also the emerging eHealth Strategy which will inevitably require providers to modernise their systems in order to participate in national initiatives.”

TPP Middle East has received substantial support and assistance from the British Embassy in Qatar and from Healthcare UK, a division of UK Trade and Investment (UKTI), since setting up in the region.

Deborah Kobewka, managing director of Healthcare UK added: “I’d like to congratulate TPP and IIS Holdings on signing this significant contract for an electronic record in some 300 of Qatar’s private primary care centres.

“It is an excellent example of healthcare collaboration, facilitated by the UKTI team in Qatar who have supported TPP over several years to achieve this great outcome for both parties and for the people of Qatar on their healthcare transformation journey.”
