Recruitment tech firm renews BBC contract

Sheffield recruitment technology firm TribePad has secured a contract renewal with the BBC to continue to deliver its applicant tracking software.

Since 2013, TribePad has helped the BBC to automate its recruitment processes. TribePad’s software has reduced recruitment costs, time taken to hire and skill matching across multiple vacancies.

TribePad has recently released a new programme known as ‘anonymised applications’ feature. This helps the BBC to remove unconscious bias from the application process, enabling recruiters to hire candidates based on their skills and expertise instead of their culture, background or race.

The idea of anonymised applications, previously known as ‘blind recruitment’ was supported by David Cameron at the back end of 2015 to improve diversity within the workplace.

Ruth Batley, resourcing business partner for the BBC said: “Working with TribePad has made a positive impact on our business. We have a great relationship with both Chris, our account manager and the team at TribePad. We find it great how TribePad are open to development ideas and offer plenty of training.”
