Accesspay secures £2 million funding for US growth plans

Manchester-based FinTech firm has announced plans for a recruitment drive, adding 60 staff members,

The £2 million funding package marks the beginning of its sixth year in business.

The cloud-based payments technology provider will use the money to take on around 60 new employees to add to its current 35-person workforce. The company expects to have filled new positions by the end of 2017.

The funding injection comes from Clydesdale and Yorkshire Bank’s Growth Finance team.

AccessPay’s software enables organisations to automate payment transactions through one platform. Current clients include automotive data company Clifford Thames and European research giant CERN.

The company was founded by Stockport entrepreneur Ali Moiyed, the creator of a smart inhaler device he hopes will save the lives of thousands of asthma sufferers globally.

Anish Kapoor founded web conferencing company Yuuguu  in 2006 and co-founded TeleCity in 1997,
