Lancashire’s Daisy Group swoops in for Voice Mobile acquisition

Lancashire-based Daisy Group has partnered with Voice Mobile since 2004 and will retain its sales and operations teams to sell and manage EE mobile accounts to existing and new customers.

Woman-app-picDaisy said its distribution division will use the acquisition to create an “EE centre of excellence” to operate across the group, and that Voice Mobile’s relationship with EE will compliment the company’s existing distribution agreements with Vodaphone and O2.

Voice Mobile offices are at Fort Dunlop, and was formed in 2001. It claims to be one of the largest independent suppliers of mobile phone solutions in the UK. The company is a key distribution partner for EE, delivering corporate and consumer mobile phone solutions over the EE network. Voice works with a number of high-profile corporate clients include the Birmingham Chamber of Commerce and Birmingham City Football Club.

Managing director of Daisy SMB services and distribution Dave McGinn said: “We are delighted to have acquired Voice Mobile, a distribution partner with whom we have held an account for over 14 years. It is particularly pleasing to welcome the Voice Mobile team into Daisy Distribution and for us to be providing its customers and employees with an exciting future going forward.

“This is a brilliant example of how an indirect partner business can develop and thrive, all the time having a shared interest with us, culminating in us ultimately acquiring them. Our strategy remains an acquisitive one and through announcements such as this shows a blueprint for other partners who may be seeking to pursue their own exit strategy. I now look forward to serving and growing our new EE customer base.”

Voice Mobile MD Ian Watson added: ‘Voice Mobile has been a massive part of my life, and now with Daisy at the helm there is an even brighter future ahead for it under new ownership, while I take the opportunity to explore new avenues and ventures.  I am confident that with the people it is acquiring and with Daisy’s scale and reach, Voice Mobile as we know it will go on to even bigger and better things.’
