Intelligent Core, a Twickenham-based company that provides autonomous, real-time intelligence for vital industrial sectors such as energy, manufacturing, and oil and gas, has successfully secured £2 million in new investment. The funding round was led by Fuel Ventures. This latest capital injection follows an earlier £500,000 funding round completed earlier in the year.
The company is focused on modernising key industrial areas, including water, transport, oil and gas, and manufacturing, which have historically depended on slow, fragmented, and reactive operational systems.
The Intelligent Core modular AI platform collects live data from field environments, equipment, and sensors, converting it into accurate forecasting, real-time visibility, and autonomous decision-making. Designed for seamless operation across the cloud, on-premises, and at the edge, the platform delivers intelligence directly to the most remote and mission-critical parts of an organisation.
At a time when operators in energy networks, utilities, manufacturing, and transport are facing escalating sustainability requirements, rising costs, and complex operations, Intelligent Core offers them an unprecedented degree of control. Organisations can now take action in milliseconds, instead of having to wait hours or days for operational visibility, enabling them to continuously optimise performance, predict potential failures, and reduce emissions via smarter automation.
The application of this technology has helped customer organisations reduce their operational expenditure by up to 80 per cent.
Tom Greenlees, Chief Executive Officer at Intelligent Core, commented: “We built Intelligent Core to give organisations real operational intelligence – live, predictive, and autonomous — no matter how remote, complex, or distributed their operations are. In heavy industry, data is often the biggest roadblock to meaningful AI deployment, and that’s exactly why we’ve developed proprietary hardware that allows us to collect the critical data ourselves and deliver results rapidly. This investment accelerates our mission to bring truly intelligent infrastructure to the sectors that need it most and to redefine what industrial AI can achieve in the real world.”
The new funding will expedite Intelligent Core’s goal of transforming and modernising outdated industrial infrastructure. The capital will be used to grow the team, further product development for their hardware solutions, and deliver large-scale customer implementations across international markets.
