London-based startup, AlphaLoops, has been awarded a \u00a3440,000 UK Smart Grant from Innovate UK, part of UK Research and Innovation, to scale its AI-powered operating system for investment firms. The grant, awarded to only 2% of applicants, will enable AlphaLoops to further develop its AI agents, designed to automate key investment management processes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The startup is focused on creating AI agents capable of automating tasks such as “requests for proposals, due diligence questionnaires and developing sales pipelines.” This technology aims to “drastically increase productivity and efficiency across sales, marketing and investor relations practices,” allowing investment professionals to “dedicate more time towards making deals and focusing on growth rather than admin and due diligence tasks.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The funding will be used to expand AlphaLoops’ engineering team and enhance the functionality of its AI agents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AlphaLoops was founded in 2023 after its founders met during a founder residency programme run by Antler in London. The founding team boasts a combination of financial domain knowledge and technical expertise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Eric Personne, the co-founder and CEO, brings 20 years of experience in finance, having held leadership roles at institutions such as Citi, Merrill Lynch, and Societe Generale. Fred Johnson, co-founder and CPO, previously worked as a product manager at Lendable and Barclays Investment Bank. Tys Bradford, co-founder and CTO, is described as a “serial AI founder” with a history of senior engineering roles, most recently at Zava.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
