Two businesses based in the South East of England, Fareham’s Barnbrook Systems and Reading’s Flair, have teamed up to develop “gamechanging” technology designed to protect both lives and business assets. The combined expertise of the two firms spans numerous sectors, including the defence sector and the new partnership merges Flair\u2019s expertise in nanotechnology and fire-resistant polymers for fire suppression, alongside Barnbrook\u2019s BlueCube remote sensing and tracking technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Their flagship product, the E:BAG, is described as the world\u2019s first system capable of both containing and suppressing lithium-ion battery fires within personal electronic devices like mobile phones and laptops, as well as in vapes, power tools, e-scooters and e-bikes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Similar nanotechnology is utilised in their larger E:CRATE containers, aimed at the waste and recycling industry, and the E:PAD, designed for data centres and server rooms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
