Infosecurity Europe is set to take place at ExCeL London from 3rd to 5th June 2025 and ahead of the event, its 2025 Cybersecurity Trends Report revealed cybersecurity budgets in the UK are on the rise, with organisations predicting an average increase of 31% this year. This figure is more than double the 15% global forecast from Gartner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The research indicates that while three-quarters of UK organisations anticipate budget growth, a significant 20% expect increases exceeding 50%. Key investment areas include application security, network security, cloud security, and DevSecOps, as businesses aim to stay ahead of evolving cyber threats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Just over seven in ten (71%) of organisations surveyed believe their current budgets are sufficient to ensure cyber safety. An additional 18% reported their budgets were “nearly enough,” while 8% stated they lack the necessary funding. The remaining 2% had yet to finalise their costing needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Despite this optimistic outlook on budgets, nearly half (47%) of cybersecurity professionals in the UK report struggling to engage effectively at board level, highlighting a potential disconnect between technical teams and strategic decision-making within organisations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The most frequently cited obstacles to building a robust cybersecurity culture include insufficient resources (40%, up from 22.5% in 2024) and the absence of a clear cybersecurity strategy aligned with overall organisational objectives (45%, up from 20.5%). The report underscores that achieving true cyber safety requires not only adequate funding but also strategic alignment and collaboration across the cybersecurity sector \u2013 key themes for this year\u2019s Infosecurity Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Discussions around corporate resilience and board-level engagement are expected to be central to the enhanced invitation-only Leaders Programme at the event. This programme will feature bespoke content for CISOs, CTOs, and other cyber leaders, alongside increased exclusive benefits and access to the upgraded Leaders Lounge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This year\u2019s Infosecurity Europe will also feature numerous improvements and new initiatives, including new theatres, conference tracks, networking events, and tools designed to facilitate the discovery of the latest innovations, as well as the introduction of a Channel Zone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
