AccelerComm, a Southampton-based company specialising in 5G technology for satellite networks, announced the successful closure of a funding round totalling approximately \u00a311.1 million. The investment will be used to accelerate the deployment of the company’s 5G satellite communications products and technology. It will also support the company\u2019s ongoing projects with key mobile operator and satellite network customers and partners, including Lockheed Martin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The company also announced the appointment of David Helfgott as its new CEO. Lockheed Martin is currently using AccelerComm\u2019s solutions in its Advanced Regenerative 5G NR NTN Base Station, which is set to be the first regenerative 5G NTN payload in orbit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
