As the commercialisation arm of the university, Cambridge Enterprise is responsible for helping researchers and academics turn their groundbreaking work into successful startup businesses. The organisation believes that having a physical presence in the capital will help bridge the gap between the two leading UK tech hubs, encouraging a more seamless flow of talent and investment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to research from Beauhurst, the University of Cambridge is the country’s most prolific producer of spinout companies. Last year marked the city’s second-best year on record for venture capital investment, with Cambridge-based firms raising a staggering \u00a31.7 billion in 2024, according to research from Dealroom and Founders at the University of Cambridge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
