{"id":946,"date":"2024-12-12T13:08:05","date_gmt":"2024-12-12T13:08:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.techsparx.co.uk\/south\/?p=946"},"modified":"2024-12-12T13:08:06","modified_gmt":"2024-12-12T13:08:06","slug":"biodiversity-monitoring-software-developer-secures-700k-investment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.techsparx.co.uk\/south\/investment\/biodiversity-monitoring-software-developer-secures-700k-investment\/","title":{"rendered":"Biodiversity monitoring software developer secures \u00a3700K investment"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00a0Wilder Sensing, a Somerset-based developer of software for biodiversity monitoring using audio and AI has secured \u00a3300,000 equity investment from the South West Investment Fund, managed by The FSE Group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The \u00a3300,000 funding forms part of a larger \u00a3700,000 investment round, including contributions from Oxford Innovation Finance and Cambridge Angels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This investment will enable the company to create 15 new jobs, significantly expanding its capacity to provide services in biodiversity data collection and analysis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Wilder Sensing&#8217;s platform has already attracted a range of customers, including Somerset Wildlife Trust, ecological consultancies and large-scale farming businesses, as well as a project for BBC&#8217;s\u00a0<em>Springwatch<\/em>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Geoff Carss, chief executive and co-founder of Wilder Sensing, said:<em> &#8220;The biodiversity collapse is one of the top global risks identified by the World Economic Forum, with over half of the world&#8217;s GDP relying on nature.
