Profit4 ERP Software supports growth for Brandsford Webbs and Regent Distributors

Worcestershire-based ornamental plant grower The Bransford Webbs Plant Company and UK-wide distributor Regent Distributors have both selected OGL Software’s Profit4 ERP system as part of their efforts to improve operational efficiency and prepare for future growth.
Bransford Webbs, which supplies garden centres across the UK, has been in operation for over 60 years. The firm evaluated a range of industry-specific and general ERP platforms before selecting Profit4.
Richard Colbourne, Joint Managing Director at Bransford Webbs, said: “We explored the market, evaluating both horticultural software and broader ERP solutions. That’s when Profit4 and the team at OGL Software stood out as the ideal solution for us. The synergy between our businesses made them a natural fit, and I was impressed with how quickly OGL understood our needs and the specific requirements of the horticultural wholesale industry.”
OGL Software, headquartered in Stourport-on-Severn, has supplied business software for nearly five decades. Its fully in-house developed Profit4 platform is designed to offer a cloud-based, integrated system with visibility across wholesale and distribution operations.
Lyndon Bendall, Head of New Business Development at OGL Software, commented: “We’re delighted to welcome Bransford Webbs to the growing community of businesses using Profit4. As the horticultural industry continues to evolve, having a robust system to efficiently manage operations is more important than ever. We look forward to collaborating closely with Bransford Webbs to ensure Profit4 consistently supports their requirements.”
Andrew Davies, Head of Product Engineering at OGL Software, added: “This partnership with Bransford Webbs highlights our commitment to developing a scalable solution that can adapt to specialist sectors like horticulture. Our in-house development team works closely with our customers to ensure the system continues to grow and improve, supporting businesses now and into the future.”
Similarly, Regent Distributors, established in 1980 and based in Birmingham, has recently implemented Profit4 as part of its digital transformation. Originally a skincare products provider, Regent has expanded into distributing cleaning and catering products nationwide. A recent move into a larger 14,500 sq ft facility reflects its ongoing growth strategy.

According to Director Sukhwinder Chaggar, the company sought new software after persistent service issues with their previous provider. “The main challenge we faced with our previous software provider was the lack of a defined service level agreement, which resulted in delayed responses and inconsistent support,” he said. “As our business grew, we also needed a more robust delivery integration to ensure efficient and reliable order fulfilment for our customers.”
One of Profit4’s key features for Regent has been its integration with MaxOptra, a delivery route planning tool that has helped automate previously manual logistics tasks. “The seamless connection between the two systems has not only improved our internal productivity but also contributed to a better overall customer experience. We’re able to deliver with greater confidence and consistency, which ultimately strengthens our relationships with our customers,” Chaggar added.
Regent has also benefited from Profit4’s customisable dashboards and real-time data access, which support data-informed decision-making. “One of the features I really value in Profit4 is the customisable dashboards. I’ve set mine up to align with how I work, and everyone on the team has their own unique setup,” said Chaggar.
The ERP system has unified Regent’s multi-channel sales strategy by integrating orders from Amazon, eBay, and their website directly into Profit4. This integration has helped streamline operations by reducing manual entry and processing times.
Through these new partnerships, OGL Software continues to support diverse sectors including horticulture and distribution with its Profit4 platform.
