AI expansion planned as Solihull’s RSM UK partners with IntellixCore

RSM UK, based in Solihull, has entered into a partnership with AI consultancy IntellixCore as it aims to expand the application of artificial intelligence across its audit, tax and consulting services.
The firm is introducing an AI Orchestration Platform to integrate the technology into its operations. It is also launching an AI Lab, which will oversee the use of AI to ensure deployment aligns with evolving UK regulations, with a focus on transparency and client value.
This development follows internal initiatives already in progress, including staff training and the integration of generative AI into tools such as the company’s Tax Insight platform.
Chris Knowles, chief digital officer at RSM UK, said: “Being AI‑centric is about rewiring your business around the capabilities of AI to the benefit of your clients or customers, with clear guardrails relevant to your industry and regulatory environment. This strategic investment in our new AI Lab, powered by IntellixCore, will help us achieve this strategic ambition quickly and responsibly.
“We have already made significant progress, including training all our people on core generative AI skills. We have built AI into our tax solutions, such as our market‑leading Tax Insight platform, to help our clients achieve global tax compliance. We are embedding it into advanced data analytics within our audit services, and our consulting practice is helping our clients to carve a tailored path to responsible AI adoption. This new partnership will allow us to further innovate our client solutions.”
Rob Donaldson, CEO at RSM UK, said: “We want to be right at the forefront of AI adoption, but thoughtfully and always in ways that benefit our clients. It is not technology for technology’s sake, it’s about empowering our people to go the extra mile for our clients by releasing them from the more routine, less rewarding tasks. And it’s also about offering terrific career opportunities for those keen to build deep digital skills in the accounting industry.”
