ByteSnap Design reports strong growth and expanded services in 2025
ByteSnap Design, an embedded software and electronic design consultancy based in Birmingham, has reported that 2025 marked a year of notable growth. The company recorded a 13% increase in turnover during its 17th year of operation, supported by new client contracts across the security and defence, medical and automotive sectors. Two newly launched service offerings contributed to this growth.
New business included work with a Tier 1 automotive supplier and a US medical device OEM. Alongside these developments, a rise in industry demand saw ByteSnap introduce two new products: SnapPro IQ and OMaaS (Obsolescence Management as a Service). SnapPro IQ is an automated PCBA test solution designed to help manufacturers address hardware cloning, manage functional testing and license software deployment securely. OMaaS is a subscription service that monitors component lifecycles and supports ongoing Bill of Materials health management. The company reports that it has helped clients identify numerous component obsolescence risks, reducing expected manufacturing delays by an average of three months.
ByteSnap Design also experienced growing demand for its FPGA and ATEX certified embedded design work, completing projects for hazardous industrial environments. Recruitment efforts continued through 2025, with new hires in firmware development and ongoing expansion across its engineering teams. Versinetic, its EV charging design sister company, grew its international client base and recorded a 40% year-on-year turnover increase.
Co Founder and Director Dunstan Power said: “2025 was a defining year for us. Through our SnapPro IQ and OMaaS services it’s clear that manufacturers are urgently seeking reliable partners who can not only solve today’s hardware and obsolescence crises but also secure their future product lifecycle and supply chains. Our strategic team expansion allows us to take on this increasing demand, but also continue pushing the boundaries of embedded design. Collaborative successes underscore our commitment to delivering cutting-edge, resilient British engineering that is fundamentally changing how our clients compete. We are all very excited about what the next year will bring.”
