Link ICT partners with Cyber Global UK to launch new cyber security service

Link ICT, located at Pride Park, Derby, has entered into a partnership with Cyber Global UK to deliver bespoke cyber security packages to small and medium-sized enterprises across Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire.

Mark Fryers, managing director and co-founder of Link ICT, said: “Recent high profile cyber attacks have made businesses acutely aware of the risks posed by hackers. Our new service provides penetration testing systems which will find any gaps in security – it’s ethical hacking.”

Before collaborating with Cyber Global UK, the firm stated that it was not feasible to provide managed service providers (MSPs) with cyber security at this level due to the cost and staffing requirements needed for a comprehensive service.

The new partnership enables Link ICT to offer tailored cyber packages by drawing on Cyber Global UK’s network of more than 100 engineers working internationally.

Ethical hacking, as explained by the firms, replicates real cyber attacks. Experts identify and resolve system vulnerabilities before they can be exploited by malicious actors.

Mark Fryers added: “Cyber security cannot be an ‘off the shelf’ product. Packages need to be bespoke to a particular industry or business in order to test and find very individual risks. It is thanks to the new partnership with Cyber Global UK that we can now offer such top-level security.”

James Harvey, managing director of Cyber Global UK, said the collaboration was built on trust and shared objectives.

He commented: “To offer this level of security there has to be a high degree of trust between all partners – the client, Link ICT and us. Businesses are opening up their systems so that we can find the weak spots before hackers do.”

Cyber Global UK has operated in the UK for several years, providing white-label cyber security services to organisations handling sensitive information, including the NHS.
