M Group completes acquisition of Telent following regulatory approval

M Group has completed its acquisition of Warwick’s Telent, a UK and Ireland-based provider of operational technology and digital infrastructure solutions, following clearance from regulatory authorities.
The acquisition, first announced in April 2025, brings together M Group’s infrastructure services portfolio with Telent’s technology and telecoms operations. According to M Group, the transaction is intended to support the Group’s growth strategy and enhance its position across various sectors including the public sector, defence, emergency services and education.
The companies share several long-standing clients, and M Group has stated that the acquisition will allow the combined business to strengthen existing relationships and increase its capabilities in delivering infrastructure services across the UK and Ireland.
Andrew Findlay, Chief Executive of M Group, said: “Together, we are greater than the sum of our parts. Telent’s differentiated capabilities, market position and the talented people that make it a great business, makes us even better placed to deliver essential infrastructure services for life for our clients, communities and the planet.
“As we enter a period of integration, we will continue to focus on business as usual, putting safety and our clients first.”
Jo Gretton, Chief Executive of Telent, said: “We are looking forward to exploring the opportunities this acquisition brings, building on our excellent reputation and continuing to be a trusted partner for organisations at the forefront of the digital revolution.”
Telent’s client list includes organisations such as Transport for London (TfL), National Highways, Network Rail, Virgin Media O2, BT, EE, and Openreach. M Group believes the integration of Telent will expand its operational scope and add value for existing and future clients.
Dominic Murphy, Managing Partner and Co-Head of the UK team at CVC, which acquired M Group in 2024, commented: “This latest acquisition will transform M Group’s digital and technology capabilities and accelerates its growth momentum.”
