The company, whose HQ is at Colburn Business Park, specialises in managed IT services, cloud, connectivity and business software for a wide range of SMEs, business parks and public sector organisations across the UK.

CaptureEstablished in 2006 by a 16-year-old, Razorblue is now a multimillion-pound business with offices in Yorkshire and the North East, has set its sights on growth after posting record results.

Razorblue Group employs a workforce of more than 40 in Catterick, Leeds, Newcastle and London and works with more than 200 clients.

Early this year, the company marked its 10th anniversary and achieved the ISO 9001 certification.

Managing director and founder Dan Kitchen was as a teenager he was so confident of success that he quit his A Level studies after three months to concentrate on his business. Today, Razorblue’s list of clients includes Sports Direct, Wensleydale Creamery and Gale & Phillipson.

“It was a bit of a leap of faith, but it paid off,” said Kitchen. “I was 100 per cent confident because I had nothing to lose and I knew what I wanted to achieve.

“There’s been a marked change recently in the way technology works – there’s been a massive drive towards cloud – but we were already ahead of the game many years ago.

“We’ve got to move with the market and keep up with the times – that’s what we’ve done for the last ten years. If new technology comes to the market you’ve got to embrace it.”
