Oak secures intranet project with American Golf

Gateshead software services provider Oak, formerly Orchid Software, has secured one of Europe’s largest golf retailers as a client with its Oak intranet software solution.

American Golf is using Oak for intranet software provision as part of plans to overhaul its internal communications and enhance employee engagement.

Graeme Kerr, retail implementation manager at American Golf, said: “Our primary objective is to improve our customer’s game.

“At the store level, Oak will allow for clearer communications out to our store colleagues and will, therefore, facilitate the execution of this strategy in-store. This then translates to the experience our customers receive on a day-to-day basis.”

Oak will assist American Golf with the unification of departments that have previously existed in isolated environments, enabling cross-channel interactions.

Nick Daggett, head of business development at Oak, commented: “Signing American Golf is a valuable client acquisition for the company, strengthening our positioning in the market as an intranet software provider for retail.”

Oak clients include Greggs, Sharp, Eastleigh Borough Council and Oasis.
