Hedgeghog Lab enjoys strong start to 2017

Newcastle technology consultancy Hedgeghog Lab is on track to hit its growth targets after enjoying a tremendous start to 2017.

The app developer has offices in London, Denmark, India and the US, won more work in the first quarter of 2017 than in the whole of 2015.

The headcount during the first three months grew from 98 to 120, including key hires such as finance director Paul Barrow.

Sarat Pediredla, chief executive and co-founder of Hedgehog Lab, said the company is planning to double revenues, following 160 per cent sales growth last year.

“We are getting approaches from numerous sectors, from healthcare to financial services, and are working with a number of top brands,” he added.

“We’re also doubling office space at Generator Studios, Newcastle, as we continue to grow our talented team.”

Pediredla attributed recent successes to the hard work of the senior management team, including Alan Morris as a chief technology officer and Anthony Dinning to chief operating officer.

Established in 2010, Hedgehog Lab builds apps for mobile, tablets, wearables and similar devices.

Earlier this year, it launched an Immersive Technologies division headed up by Shaun Allan.
