Trio of appointments to aid Burnley IT firm’s continuing growth

A new trio has been hired by an East Lancashire technology firm to deal with a growth in business.

Burnley-based Holker IT has welcomed three fresh starters across the board.

Simon McGowan and Jordan Woodwock have joined the Phoenix Way outfit as account manager and service desk engineer respectively, and Martina Giles Kusakova as business administrator.

Managing director, Matthew Metcalfe, said: “It is certainly a positive sign that we have had to bring in three new faces. We have seen a real spike in business over recent months – particularly in relation to cyber security – and there is scope within the team for further growth in the near future.”

Burnley College graduate Simon, 35, had previously risen through the ranks at Walker Farrimond, while Jordan, 25, who also attended Burnley College and lives in Altham, has a diploma in engineering. Martina, who originally hails from Slovakia, has spent the last 8 years working in Cyprus before deciding to relocate back to Burnley.
