Trotec invests in state-of-the-art laser cutting technology at flagship Tyne & Wear HQ

North East-based manufacturer, Trotec, has unveiled its latest investment in state-of-the-art laser cutting technology, the SP3000 400-watt large format laser cutter, at its flagship headquarters and demonstration centre.

The SP3000 laser cutter is hailed as a groundbreaking advancement in precision and efficiency. With its 400-watt power and intelligent OptiMotion path control, it provides businesses with the capability to process a diverse range of materials with unparalleled accuracy and speed.

Its expansive working area of 2210 mm x 3210 mm accommodates a wide spectrum of applications. This includes the creation of large displays and signage from materials such as wood or acrylic, architectural models, prototypes for manufacturing, textiles, foils, and films for industries like automotive and medical, among many others.

Trotec’s strategic decision to bring this new laser cutter to its demonstration centre is aimed at meeting the rising demand for large format laser cutting solutions within the region and, to commemorate this significant addition, Trotec is organising an exclusive Open Event at its Tyne & Wear headquarters, from 03 – 05 October. Trotec extends a warm invitation to businesses currently using large format CNC machines or outdated laser cutting equipment.

Baljit Dhillon, managing director of Trotec Laser UK & Ireland, commented: “We are excited to invest in bringing the SP3000 to our flagship showroom. Many of our valued customers with large format requirements are based in the north of England. With this addition, we aim to open our doors to more businesses, showcasing how our largest laser cutter can seamlessly support their ambitious business goals.”

Businesses across various sectors have already found value in the SP3000’s capabilities. Its versatility and precision make it a go-to tool for bringing innovative ideas to life as well as performing vital production steps during the manufacturing process.

Attendees can put the industrial-grade SP3000 to the test and discover how it could enhance their workflow, elevate product quality or lead to savings in production costs.
