Industry leaders recognise Bondgate IT’s remarkable impact on business in North East

Managed IT support firm, Bondgate IT, headquartered in Darlington, is celebrating its position as the leading IT provider in the North East. The recognition comes from Channel Futures MSP 501, which has for the past 17 years been the world’s foremost ranking and directory of service and technology providers. The MSP 501 assesses organisational performance using a diverse array of metrics, encompassing customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

In a UK market teeming with approximately 40,000 IT providers, Bondgate IT has remarkably clinched a spot in the top 18 nationwide, placing it among the elite 501 worldwide. This accolade propels Bondgate to even greater prominence in comparison to its counterparts across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, an achievement celebrated at a recent ceremony in London.

Damien Harrison, the company’s director of operations, said: “Within the UK I believe there are 40,000 IT providers alone, so this recognition is validation that the approach we are taking is the right approach. We are customer-obsessed and a customer-focused business. We put our customers at the forefront of everything we do. Being ranked so highly in that listing demonstrates that it is the right approach. We are a value-led organisation. In front of us in the office each day we are faced with a big wheel that lists our values for the team to be reminded of at Bondgate. Our team are recognised for delivering on those values through every interaction they have with the customer.”

A vibrant display of six essential values — progressive, resilience, initiative, passion, empathy, and optimism — takes centre stage at Bondgate IT’s Newham House headquarters on Dudley Road. These values, presented in a dynamic multi-coloured circle, encapsulate Bondgate’s ethos, but these core values were only introduced in 2018, two decades after Adam Nunns initially founded the company at its location, 51-52 Bondgate, in the heart of Darlington.

Bondgate’s growth trajectory remains unstoppable as it celebrates its 25th year of business with this accolade. Over the past year, the company has secured numerous new contracts, forging partnerships with notable organisations like Daisy Chain, an autism charity based in Stockton, and Optimum Skills, a premier North-East apprenticeship provider. Bondgate IT distinguishes itself not only through its commitment to continual self-improvement but also by delivering added value to its valued customers.

Damien concluded: “What we don’t do is just approach an organisation by looking at the shiny things, we look at what the organisation actually does right and wrong. We know we are experts in technology. We can help them get better business results through aligning our knowledge of technology with their business model. Whatever the industry, market or sector, we can help, even if we do like to try to specialise in some areas. But if someone phones us for some help we will see if we can help by adding value to that business.”

With a dedicated team of 24 skilled professionals based in Darlington, Bondgate extends its reach to support businesses in the North East of England and beyond.
