Cloud UK Live has secured the attendance of senior figures from industry giants Cisco, Microsoft, Dell and VMware.\u00a0The event will be held at the UKFast Campus\u00a0and will be the\u00a0first in a series of free events.<\/p>\n
The line-up of guest speakers at\u00a0Cloud UK Live includes David Rowan, editor of Wired magazine, Jo Laking, UKI Cloud director at Cisco; James Akrigg, head of technology for Partners at Microsoft and Peter Barnes, UK executive director at Dell.<\/p>\n
250 attendees are expected at the firm\u2019s purpose-built event space at UKFast Campus on July 6th.<\/p>\n
UKFast CEO Lawrence Jones said: \u201cBringing these amazing companies to Manchester and showcasing our incredible tech community is a fantastic opportunity. Our city has so much to offer and it\u2019s great to bring these global players here to help us continue to grow.<\/p>\n
\u201cCollaboration is the key to achieving our long-term goal of making Manchester the number one tech city in the UK. We have some amazing speakers at the event, both from UKFast and from further afield. We\u2019re creating a huge buzz around tech in the city and it\u2019s incredibly exciting.\u201d<\/p>\n
Jones adds: \u201cCloud is helping people transform their businesses and the event is about putting people in the best possible position to understand if cloud is for them and how they can get the best results from it.<\/p>\n
\u201cNew technologies open up incredible opportunities, but companies need an understanding of how cloud can fit into their operations and how it can be of benefit. It\u2019s the same with any project; you have to have the right tools to deliver the job.\u201d<\/p>\n
Jones is set to open Cloud UK Live with a talk on digital transformation. The event takes place at UKFast Campus, Birley Fields, Manchester from 2pm to 6pm on Wednesday July 6.<\/p>\n
