{"id":1279,"date":"2017-02-07T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2017-02-07T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.techsparx.co.uk\/north\/uncategorized\/manchester-based-retail-tech-startup-digitalbridge-raises-700000\/"},"modified":"2025-02-28T14:37:51","modified_gmt":"2025-02-28T14:37:51","slug":"manchester-based-retail-tech-startup-digitalbridge-raises-700000","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.techsparx.co.uk\/north\/manchester-based-retail-tech-startup-digitalbridge-raises-700000\/","title":{"rendered":"Manchester-based retail tech startup DigitalBridge raises \u00a3700,000"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>DigitalBridge, a home decor retail tech platform, has raised a \u00a3700,000 Seed round from a series of private investors.<\/p>\n<p>Based in Manchester, the firm\u2019s machine learning platform enables consumers to \u2018try on\u2019 home decor products and furniture in their own home.<\/p>\n<p>Investors included\u00a0Stuart Marks, founder of early-stage investor and corporate innovation firm <a href=\"http:\/\/techcitynews.com\/tag\/l-marks\/\">L Marks<\/a>, who contributed \u00a3350,000 to the round.<\/p>\n<p>The retail tech startup\u00a0also received backing from John Lewis, which invested \u00a3100,000 after DigitalBridge\u00a0was named partners\u2019 choice at the <a href=\"http:\/\/techcitynews.com\/tag\/jlab\/\">JLAB accelerator programme.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>David Levine, CEO of DigitalBridge, commented: \u201cMore retailers are beginning to see the commercial benefit of implementing mixed reality platforms in their customer offering, particularly online, and the confidence shown by these latest investments is testament to that.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs a business we have experienced significant growth in the last few months and are in the early stages of some major deals to bring this technology to market. Consumers have been calling for an \u2018undo button\u2019 for interior design for years, and thanks to new technology, retailers can now offer them one,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<h4>Development<\/h4>\n<p>The firm says it will the funding to bolster its business development team and improve the platform\u2019s\u00a0user experience.<\/p>\n<p>Stuart Marks, founder of L Marks, said:\u00a0\u201cDavid has put an exceptional team in place, which has been one of the key drivers in the business\u2019 rapid growth in the last 12 months.
