Nomad Digital specialises in providing wi-fi services for trains, and was acquired by French transport giant Alstom in January.<\/p>\nTrain wi-fi company Nomad Digital has promoted chief operating officer Reece Donovan to become its CEO after the revelation that Andrew Taylor was stepping down from the role.<\/p>\n
Mr Donovan has spent three years leading the firm\u2019s global delivery and operational functions and Nomad has described his promotions as \u201cpart of an active succession planning exercise\u201d.<\/p>\n

Mr Donovan said of his new role: \u201cI\u2019m looking forward to building on the good work laid down by Andrew as a strong foundation for growth, and to thank him for all his support.<\/p>\n

Mr Taylor will continue to support Nomad in a non-executive capacity, acting as an advisor to the firm\u2019s supervisory board and continuing in his role as chairman of Nomad Tech, Nomad\u2019s Joint Venture with EMEF.<\/p>\n

Nomad employs 230, is a niche provider of wi-fi on trains and also holds a strong position in the development and delivery of other wireless-on-board connectivity solutions, for the rail and bus sectors.<\/p>\n
Last year the firm announced a 47% leap in turnover to \u00a342m following a year of global contract wins, including a fleet-wide passenger wi-fi upgrade for Virgin Trains\u00a0and the introduction of BEAM, a video-on-demand service it worked on with GoMedia, giving passengers access to top TV shows and movies through their portable devices.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
