{"id":1306,"date":"2017-03-09T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2017-03-09T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.techsparx.co.uk\/north\/uncategorized\/sage-md-steps-seven-months\/"},"modified":"2025-02-28T14:37:54","modified_gmt":"2025-02-28T14:37:54","slug":"sage-md-steps-seven-months","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.techsparx.co.uk\/north\/sage-md-steps-seven-months\/","title":{"rendered":"Sage MD steps down after seven months"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Newcastle tech firm Sage\u2019s executive vice president for Northern Europe Jacqueline de Rojas is stepping down from her position at the end of the week.<\/p>\n<p>Ms de Rojas was appointed to lead the software giant\u2019s Northern Europe operations in July 2016, with over 25 years experience in the industry, and the\u00a0most influential woman in the UK\u2019s tech industry.<\/p>\n<p>Following Ms de Rojas\u2019s exit from the company, Alan Laing will act as interim managing director for Northern Europe UK and Ireland. He previously ran the firm\u2019s global Partners and Alliances programme.<\/p>\n<p>Confirming Ms de Rojas\u2019s exit a spokeswoman from Sage said: \u201cJacqueline de Rojas has decided to leave the business. We are grateful for her efforts leading our UKI business and wish her all the best.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"read-more-links\">\n<p class=\"publication-theme-icon publication-theme-border\">Mr Laing will continue to run the Partner and Alliance business but will be assisted by Michael de Jongh, who will take up a deputy role during the interim period.<\/p>\n<\/aside>\n<aside class=\"read-more-links\">\n<p class=\"publication-theme-icon publication-theme-border\">The announcement of the role changes was made to staff today in an email sent by Sage president Blair Crump. The email also called for staff to carry on working as normal despite the management reshuffle.<\/p>\n<\/aside>\n<p>It read: \u201cPlease join me in wishing Jacquline de Rojas all the best and supporting Alan in this new interim role.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith Q2 drawing to a close, we need everyone entirely focused on customers, so Alan and Jacqueline de Rojas are working together to ensure there is no disruption to those of you on the front line, working hard to serve customers and deliver a great first half to the year.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Newcastle tech firm Sage\u2019s executive vice president for Northern Europe Jacqueline de Rojas is stepping down from her position at the end of the week.
