Gateshead electric vehicle company Sevcon has launched an ambitious recruitment drive, which will boost staff numbers by 200 over the next three years.<\/p>\n
The company currently employs 80 skilled engineering staff in the Team Valley and is set to take on 20 employees over the “next few months”, and expand into a larger Gateshead premises.<\/p>\n
It is currently searching for skilled engineers, primarily engineering technicians and test engineers.<\/p>\n
The recruitment drive comes on the back of Sevcon securing a series of major contracts worth a total of \u00a3320 milliom.<\/p>\n
Louise Morshead, human resources manager at Sevcon, commented: “These are exciting times for the business and we are keen to hear from ambitious technicians and test engineers looking to take the next step in their career.<\/p>\n
