<\/p>\nKwizzBit, a\u00a0web-based gaming platform, has appointed two new\u00a0members of staff to accommodate business growth and development.<\/p>\n
The Leeds start-up combines the traditional format of pub quiz entertainment with\u00a0the excitement of interactive digital media.<\/p>\n
The appointments come after a series of account wins including one of the\u00a0UK’s largest operators of bars and restaurants, Mitchells and Butler, and\u00a0British pub company, Stonegate pubs.<\/p>\n
Chris Hart, who joins as sales and marketing manager, will be responsible\u00a0for a number of key accounts, driving company growth and maintaining\u00a0existing client relationships. Prior to undertaking his role at KwizzBit,\u00a0Chris held a number of senior roles in the promotions and events management industry.<\/p>\n
Angelika Wehnert also recently joined the business as an administrative\u00a0assistant, whilst studying for a Bachelor’s degree in International\u00a0Information Management at the University of Hildesheim, Germany.\u00a0Angelika has a background in gamification and corporate team building and\u00a0has been key in providing significant links for KwizzBit in entering the\u00a0German technology market.<\/p>\n
Managing director, Mark Walsh founded KwizzBit in partnership with pub quiz\u00a0guru Steve Saul and technology expert John Sheard in 2016. The three\u00a0successful entrepreneurs, with more than 60 combined years’\u00a0experience in the pub industry, aim to revive the Great British pub industry\u00a0and eventually take a variety of other sectors by storm.<\/p>\n
Commenting on the new recruits, Managing director Mark Walsh commented:\u00a0“The past year has been phenomenal for KwizzBit and we’re delighted to
\nwelcome new talent to the team. Chris and Angelika have joined the business\u00a0at a key time for us as we are experiencing rapid growth. Their existing\u00a0skills will help to drive the business forward and we’re also looking\u00a0forward to being able to contribute to their own personal career goals and\u00a0development.”<\/p>\n
Chris commented:\u00a0“I am passionate about the KwizzBit product and I have a particular interest\u00a0in emerging technologies and using my marketing expertise to drive the\u00a0business forward. I am incredibly excited to contribute to the company’s\u00a0growth and with a strong background in the bar industry and events\u00a0promotions, I feel I am well equipped to do this.”<\/p>\n
Angelika commented:\u00a0“I felt a position with KwizzBit would really compliment the modules I am\u00a0studying for my degree and working within a new cultural environment has\u00a0been significant in strengthening my language skills. My role is vast,\u00a0allowing me to improve upon existing skills and build upon my experiences of\u00a0working within the technology industry.<\/p>\n
KwizzBit has plans to grow the team by 100% over the next twelve months,\u00a0hiring an additional six members of staff.<\/p>\n
