<\/p>\nManchester-based Immotion specialises in location-based immersive virtual reality (VR) experiences and has unveiled plans to float.<\/p>\n

Formed from the merger of Studio Liddell and Los Angeles-based filmmakers C2K, the firm has worked with the BBC, Toyota, English Heritage and Warner Brothers, has experience in storytelling, content creation, advertising, art direction and communications.<\/p>\n
It offers consumers in shopping centres and other public places\u00a0a variety of VR experiences, with its operations incorporating content creation, motion platforms and proprietary content management. It will match specific VR content from its library to create a tailored concession, such as being in a submarine in an aquarium. Immotion will supply the VR cinema pod and content, sharing ticket revenue with the concession partner.<\/p>\n
The first concession seats have recently been installed in two entertainment centres through its partnerships with the Lego Discovery Centre in Boston and Genting’s Resorts World Birmingham.\u00a0In early July 2018, it is expected that a concession will open at Lego Discovery Centre in Manchester.<\/p>\n
The group’s subsidiaries include Immotion Studios and C2K, both of which have more than 20 years of specialised expertise in computer generated animation and live action story telling.<\/p>\n
Few details of the floatation have been confirmed, but it looks set to take place on 12 July 2018. Both the market capitalisation and capital expected to be raised are unknown.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
