Communications, data, and networking specialist\u00a0Pennine has been selected as a supplier on two procurement frameworks by the Scottish Government and Crown Commercial Service.<\/p>\n
The procurement frameworks function as an agreement between buyers and providers allowing them to place orders for services without having to go through lengthy tendering processes.\u00a0After satisfying stringent criteria the firm will now be eligible to supply telephone services under the government’s Dynamic Purchasing System.<\/p>\n
Bury-based Pennine can now bid for contracts awarded by central and local government, universities and colleges, health service providers, third sector organisations and other public\u00a0bodies.<\/p>\n
The Telephone Services DPS, which has a 12 month lifespan, has an estimated value of \u00a310 million; but could be extended for a further year by the Scottish Government.<\/p>\n
Pennine has also been placed on the G-Cloud 10 procurement framework, launched earlier this month, by the CCS, and has secured placings for hosting, software and support. Created in 2012 the G-Cloud framework has already awarded contracts worth almost \u00a33 billion.<\/p>\n
Pennine\u2019s MD Andrew Roberts said: \u201cGovernment procurement bodies make businesses jump through significant hoops to secure accreditation on purchasing frameworks.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re delighted that both the Scottish Government and Crown Commercial Service have acknowledged that Pennine can be relied upon to provide the technical expertise, service excellence and value-for-money demanded by ever budget-conscious public sector body.\u201d<\/p>\n
These latest successful bids with the Scottish Government and CCS follow a previous placement on a three-year telecoms framework by the Salford-based Crescent Purchasing Consortium \u2014 a specialist purchasing arranger for the further education, academies, free schools and schools sectors.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
