Commercial interiors specialist Penketh Group has completed the \u00a3200,000 furniture fit-out of Manchester Science Partnerships\u2019 (MSP) new Tech Incubator.<\/p>\n
Located in Manchester Technology Centre, the \u00a32 million incubator offers technology innovation and data science startups with co-working spaces, meeting rooms, a large event space and small private offices.<\/u><\/u><\/p>\n
Penketh Group\u2019s design facilitates a range of working modes, with the space including collaboration areas, meeting spaces, private offices, event space, a social and breakout area, a welcome area and a working lounge.<\/p>\n
Chris Birchall, workplace strategist at Penketh Group, said: \u201cWe were delighted to be chosen to supply and install the furniture for Manchester Science Partnerships\u2019 new Tech Incubator.<\/u><\/u><\/p>\n
\u201cAs part of the refurbishment of the space, Manchester Science Partnerships wanted to create a workspace that was high-tech and contemporary so we installed an array of products that accommodated modern, agile working \u2013 from meetings rooms with integrated technology to clusters of seating for casual collaboration and periods of rejuvenation.<\/u><\/u><\/p>\n
\u201cWe also created a number of bespoke Axium storage units for organisation and space division, which were chosen after MSP had viewed them in our own WorkLife showroom in the city centre.\u201d<\/u><\/u><\/p>\n
Tom Renn, managing director at Manchester Science Partnerships, said: \u201cFurniture can often be an after thought; for us, we know it makes the space.<\/p>\n
“It\u2019s one of those items where form and function have to come together, so that it not only adds to the look of the space, but is practical and makes it a comfy and brilliant place to work in.<\/p>\n
