{"id":1507,"date":"2019-02-01T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2019-02-01T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.techsparx.co.uk\/north\/uncategorized\/turnover-profit-improvement-gateshead-support-firm\/"},"modified":"2025-02-28T14:38:23","modified_gmt":"2025-02-28T14:38:23","slug":"turnover-profit-improvement-gateshead-support-firm","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.techsparx.co.uk\/north\/turnover-profit-improvement-gateshead-support-firm\/","title":{"rendered":"Turnover and profit improvement for Gateshead IT firm"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A Gateshead-based IT consultancy is looking ahead to a &#8220;bright future&#8221; after edging turnover towards the \u00a320m mark in another profitable year.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-12111\" src=\"https:\/\/www.techsparx.co.uk\/north\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/IT-consultancy-300x200.jpeg\" alt=\"IT consultancy\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/>ITPS provides IT support, data centre and telecoms services for a range of clients, employing more than 120 employees and operating an additional office in London.<\/p>\n<p>Turnover for the year ending 31 May 2018 grew by 15 per cent to \u00a319.2m.<\/p>\n<p>Pre-tax profit was up 8 per cent to \u00a3583,917, compared to \u00a3538,902 the previous year.<\/p>\n<p>During the year the company attained HCSN status, an NHS accreditation which allowed it to win a multimillion-pound contract with NHS North of England Commissioning Support towards the end of last year.<\/p>\n<p>ITPS finance director, Michael Jopling, said: &#8220;We are delighted with the growth in turnover and operating profit and continue to add to our recurring revenue with contract wins in both the public and private sector.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We continue to invest in our infrastructure, which already exceeds industry standards.
