Most of that has been focused on connecting businesses and public sector sites via\u00a0Dark Fibre\u00a0infrastructure, but they\u2019ve also connected some big residential apartment buildings (MDUs) via their sub-brands, such as\u00a0Black Fibre\u00a0and\u00a0Velocity Fibre.<\/p>\n<p>The ISP has active plans to roll-out a gigabit-capable \u201c<em>full fibre<\/em>\u201d and broadband network to cover various homes and businesses across the North West of England and Midlands. As part of this plan to bring \u201c<em>affordable [open access] fibre connectivity<\/em>\u201d to more of the North West and Midlands the operator has just announced a strategic investment in telecoms and fibre infrastructure company,\u00a0SDH Project Services\u00a0(SDH).<\/p>\n<p>SDH is said to be an expert in delivering \u201c<em>large scale telecommunications infrastructure projects and fibre infrastructure monitoring solutions<\/em>,\u201d which would obviously be handy for an operator like Telcom and their future network expansion.<\/p>\n<p>Christopher Baldock, Telcom\u2019s Chairman, said:\u00a0\u201cI am delighted that we have been able to bring SDH Project Services within the Telcom group. We shall be working with the team, our key suppliers and customers in order to scale up our capacity as rapidly as possible.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Colin Brown, Managing Director of SDH, added:\u00a0\u201cI believe this is a major step forward for the company.
