So much of it sits somewhere on the spectrum between meaningless and pointless. However, some words deserve their place in our everyday language because they are genuinely useful. They help us better understand the world of work.<\/p>\n<p>Workflow is one such word. As well as being a useful shorthand, it&rsquo;s crucial to the functioning of any business. Office workers use it as a noun and sometimes as a verb. The Cambridge Dictionary <a href=\"https:\/\/dictionary.cambridge.org\/dictionary\/english\/workflow\" rel=\"nofollow\">defines<\/a> it as &ldquo;the way that a particular type of work is organised, or the order of the stages in a particular work process&rdquo;.
