Castleford-based Cammax has been acquired by Canadian transport technology group Modaxo.<\/p>\n
Cammax, which manufactures self-service\u00a0 touch screen ticketing machines commonly used in car parks, public transport stations and by the NHS, is now part of the Ontario-based group that owns a portfolio of transport software companies worldwide. Although the financial terms of the deal remain undisclosed, Modaxo executives praised Cammax for its strong reputation in the UK, particularly for developing customisable, user-friendly software for transport and parking operators.<\/p>\n
The company, which employs around 40 people, counts Bristol City Council, West Midlands Combined Authority and Parking Eye among its clients.<\/p>\n

Modaxo, with over \u00a33 billion in consolidated revenues and a global workforce of 25,000, has confirmed that Cammax will retain its brand and operational independence while benefitting from investment and support from the wider group. Julian Rooney will continue to lead the business alongside the existing management team.<\/p>\n
