Technology firm Morta has opened its new UK headquarters in Leeds. The software specialist, which serves property developers, construction firms, and project managers, has moved into Worx at 2 Great George Street as it expands its operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The company, founded in the UAE, spent two years developing and testing its platform before beginning to supply it to the market earlier this year. Morta is now establishing a team in Leeds, comprising software engineers, sales staff, and AI specialists, to support its forthcoming growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Alyssa Castillo, marketing manager from Morta, said: \u201cWe are a start-up business on a mission to create the best software for property developers in the UK and around the world. Although we\u2019ve only been supplying our software since summer, we\u2019re quickly establishing an enviable client base, which already includes several well-known companies across Yorkshire, Manchester and Cheshire. Expanding into 2 Great George Street gives us a strategic location to build on this and we\u2019re currently talking to a wide range of property developers in Leeds, as well as throughout the UK. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
“In addition, technology in Leeds is a major part of the region\u2019s economy and that means the city has access to a great talent pool and two highly reputable universities, which makes it the perfect place to recruit as we continue developing our AI technology and software. We\u2019re now looking forward to growing our team in an amazing historic building that offers a full range of amenities including a gym and a private outside terrace, which are both great for team wellbeing. The fact the office was available on an all-inclusive basis also meant we could move in immediately, without the cost and delay of having to fit it out first and there\u2019s a level of flexibility, which will enable us to grow and take more space as and when it\u2019s required, which all added to its appeal.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Morta\u2019s arrival means only a limited number of office suites remain available at 2 Great George Street. The building is a converted Victorian schoolhouse offering Grade A workspace and 83 residential apartments. Remaining suites range from 670 square feet to 1,427 square feet, with the option to combine space up to 6,000 square feet. This offers the equivalent of over\u00a3890,000 in annual rent and service charges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
