Leeds-based tech innovation consultancy Parallax has increased its workforce by 30 new team members during the first quarter of 2026. The expansion follows a year in which the firm secured 25 new clients and recorded its highest ever financial forecast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The new employees include a mix of designers, full stack engineers, and product and delivery specialists. These appointments are intended to strengthen the core services of the business, with a specific focus on AI. The team will support projects in sectors such as environmental technology, gaming, financial services, and logistics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Among the senior hires are Jamie Manson and Tom Parrish, who join the company as principal tech leads. Both have experience in software development and have previously managed engineering teams of more than 50 people. Additionally, the firm has recruited three individuals into graduate and internship roles as part of its partnership with the University Technical College Leeds and the University of Leeds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The growth at the firm reflects wider trends in the region. Data from last year indicated that the tech sector in Leeds is growing 125% faster than the national average, with a 46% increase in technology roles. A further three graduates are expected to join the company later this year following the Leeds Hack event in February.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
