The chief executive of newly established technical services firm Tendra Technical Services has outlined plans to construct a national built environment platform while maintaining the operational identity of its acquired businesses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tendra was created in late 2025 by private equity firm Triton Partners to consolidate technical services across the UK built environment. Headquartered in Wilmslow, Cheshire, the business provides mechanical, electrical, and HVAC engineering alongside facilities management to public, defence, industrial, and commercial customers. Its initial portfolio was established by combining regional specialist contractors, including The James Mercer Group, Fletchers Engineering, and Coat Facilities Group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Group CEO Greg Davies, who was appointed at launch to lead the integration and acquisition strategy, stated that the group structure addresses a market gap between independent regional firms and large national providers. He said: \u201cThe built environment in the UK was a reasonably disparate environment that better consolidation at the lower scale end of that sector.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Rather than integrating acquired firms under a unified corporate brand, Tendra operates as an alliance, allowing individual businesses to maintain their established trading names and customer bases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Davies continued: \u201cWe are not creating one brand called technical services. We’re retaining the brand capital of the businesses that we bring into the group<\/em>. We just want you to think about how that interrelates with other businesses within our group. We’re only a small island, but the way in which you do business in different regions actually differs slightly.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n In December 2025, Tendra Technical Services initiated its initial build-out by acquiring Preston-headquartered building services firm The James Mercer Group and Manchester-based HVAC contractor Fletchers Engineering Ltd.<\/sup> Supported by Triton Smaller Mid-Cap Fund II, the initial transaction established the group’s regional operational hub in the North West, combining Mercer’s \u00a347 million turnover with Fletchers’ \u00a317 million revenue to provide the initial scale for its national platform model.<\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n Image source: LinkedIn<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" The chief executive of newly established technical services firm Tendra Technical Services has outlined plans to construct a national built environment platform while maintaining the operational identity of its acquired businesses.
