OneAdvanced deploys autonomous AI agents across UK public and legal sectors

Birmingham-based software company OneAdvanced has announced the deployment of its Agentic AI systems across key sectors in the United Kingdom, including healthcare, legal services, and government operations.
Over the last six months, the company has integrated autonomous AI agents into live workflows across several customer organisations such as the NHS, UK government departments, and a large proportion of the country’s law firms. These agents are now assisting in functions such as clinical summarisation, risk and compliance, and workforce scheduling.
OneAdvanced’s AI agents include Clinical Summarisation and Coding Agents, developed in collaboration with GP surgeries. These are currently processing up to 600,000 documents each day across NHS operations. The agents generate clinical summaries and propose SNOMED codes from a library of 360,000 terms.
In addition to healthcare, Risk Assist agents are being used for governance and compliance, while Clocking and Shift Assignment Agents support scheduling and staff allocation in regulated sectors. These systems are now accessible to public sector and mid-sized organisations.
The company reports that its agents have contributed to a reduction in administrative pressure for clinicians. According to OneAdvanced, the GP workflow agents have saved capacity equivalent to 150,000 extra patient appointments per week, alongside reported improvements in efficiency, accuracy, and patient experience.
OneAdvanced has stated that the shift from testing to active deployment marks a new phase in AI integration. The company describes agentic systems as capable of setting their own processes, adapting to changes, and achieving tasks with minimal human intervention, while remaining auditable and keeping human users informed.
Amanda Grant, Chief Product Officer at OneAdvanced, said: “In just 12 months, we have developed and deployed the UK’s first sovereign AI platform, with agents already transforming frontline operations for thousands of mission-critical organisations across UK communities. We’re still at the tip of the iceberg. Agentic technology will become the business differentiator and help deliver not just efficiency but, crucially, genuine customer impact. We look forward to helping to normalise this technology and bring hyper-personalised services to clients.”
The agentic systems are based on OneAdvanced’s sovereign large language model (LLM), developed in partnership and hosted entirely within the UK. The company says this infrastructure supports data protection requirements, audit trails, and national regulatory compliance by ensuring all data stays within UK jurisdiction.
Alongside its external deployments, OneAdvanced is also enhancing its internal development processes. Engineering teams are using Co-Pilot Code Assist to improve delivery speed and quality, while code generation agents are being trialled to support the software lifecycle from planning to deployment.
The company’s SkillsHub programme is being used to train technical staff, with a focus on what OneAdvanced refers to as the “golden age of software engineering.”
Andrew Henderson, Chief Technology Officer at OneAdvanced, concluded: “At a time when the UK is attracting significant foreign investment to support its technological capabilities, we are proud to already be delivering world-class solutions to some of the most prestigious organisations across both the public and private sectors. We believe we have the credentials and confidence to play a meaningful role in ensuring the UK cements its role as a global hub for AI innovation.”
OneAdvanced supplies software and AI platforms to a range of sectors including healthcare, law, government, and education. The company says its approach is to support digital transformation with technology that is embedded, auditable, and aligned with customer and compliance priorities.
