Pinewood.AI to join FTSE 250 as business expands AI reporting tools

Pinewood Technologies Group PLC, trading as Pinewood.AI, has announced that it will be included in the FTSE 250 Index. The company is based in the Midlands and became a standalone software business in 2024.
Since its separation, Pinewood.AI has secured new contracts, launched its Automotive Intelligence Chat, continued developing its platform, and begun preparations to enter new markets, including North America.
Bill Berman, Chief Executive Officer of Pinewood.AI, said: “I am very proud that we have entered the FTSE 250 index less than two years after becoming a standalone software business.
“This achievement is a testament to the hard work of our people, the industry-leading nature of our technology and the significant exciting opportunities in the market for Pinewood.AI.”
The company plans to provide an update on its strategy and outlook when it announces interim results for the six months ended 30 June 2025 on Wednesday, 24 September 2025.
In August, Pinewood.AI also launched a new suite of interactive reporting tools within its Automotive Intelligence Platform, intended to support retailers and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in monitoring daily operations and improving profitability.
The business intelligence (BI) application includes multiple dashboards that allow users to view key performance indicators from enterprise level down to individual departments.
Two reporting packages are being offered: Essential Insights, which covers day-to-day operations, and a bespoke option, which provides tailored reports, visuals and custom metrics embedded directly into the Pinewood platform.
Jason Gregory, Data and Analytics Director at Pinewood.AI, said: “This is a significant step up from the existing reporting functionalities that have previously been available across the market.
“BI focuses on being visually appealing, easy to use and interactive, while giving dealerships the ability to drill into their customer data.
“Pinewood.AI’s Business Intelligence offers one single source of the truth.
“There are not multiple data sources. The dashboards use the data input into the Pinewood.AI platform and everything is housed within one system with no requirement for users to log in and out of external software.”
The BI application became available in aftersales last month and includes dashboards for work in progress, bookings, parts, technician performance and vehicle health checks. Further dashboards covering accounting and sales are expected to follow.
Gregory stated that the business would continue developing the reporting features.
He added: “Alongside OEM and dealer feedback, we are utilising our wealth of automotive retail knowledge to build dashboards that are insightful, meaningful and exceed OEM and retailer requirements.”
