UKG, a provider of HR, payroll, and workforce management software with offices in London, has appointed Jim Joudrey as its new Chief Technology Officer to oversee more than 4,000 employees globally. Joudrey brings over two decades of experience directing large engineering and technology teams at major software companies to the role.
Joudrey’s previous jobs include serving as vice president of digital acceleration at Amazon, where he managed digital e-commerce for more than 40 businesses, including Prime, Prime Video, Audible, Music, Devices, and Games. Earlier in his career at Amazon Web Services (AWS) Infrastructure, he held a technology leadership role with responsibility for engineering teams that focused on labour management, data centre automation, security, hardware vetting, and monitoring. Between his time at Amazon, he was senior vice president of analytics cloud engineering at Salesforce, after it acquired Tableau.
At UKG, Joudrey will be tasked with shaping and implementing the company’s technology vision, with an emphasis on developing its AI-first platform to assist customers with decision-making. He said: “UKG is on a remarkable trajectory, with the platform, workforce insights, and AI-first strategy to reshape work for organisations around the world. What drew me to UKG is the opportunity to build category leading products that help organisations of all sizes empower their employees and optimise their operations. We are the engine of innovation that drives agility, performance and better work experiences for tens of millions of workers globally.”
Jennifer Morgan, UKG’s chief executive, commented: “Jim is a transformational technology leader with a track record of turning bold ideas into products that deliver results for customers. He joins UKG at a perfect time as we begin the next chapter of our technology story. With his deep expertise, we’ll accelerate innovation and create even greater opportunities for our customers to better understand their workforce and orchestrate how work gets done — driving deeper engagement with their employees and resulting in better experiences, higher productivity and stronger outcomes. We’re thrilled to welcome him to UKG.”
Joudrey takes over from Sri Srinivasan, who has been the interim chief technology officer since 2023.
