Geordie, a new London-based company that has developed a security platform for AI agents, has come out of stealth with £5.1 million in seed funding. It aims to provide enterprises with a way to safely adopt AI agents.

According to a survey by EY, nearly 90 per cent of enterprise leaders have identified obstacles to adopting AI agents. While agentic AI can offer operational and productivity benefits, it also presents challenges compared to traditional software, such as unpredictable behaviour and non-deterministic decision-making.

Geordie’s platform, which is designed for the complexities of AI agents, offers visibility, risk intelligence, and control. The platform is vendor-agnostic and detects deployed agents across various tools, mapping their behaviour to assess risk.

The company’s “Beam” real-time risk engine guides agent decisions, ensuring they remain in line with company policies without disrupting operations.

Founded in early 2025, Geordie is led by Henry Comfort, former COO Americas at Darktrace; Hanah-Marie Darley, former Director of Security and AI Strategy at Darktrace; and Benji Weber, former Senior Director of Engineering at Snyk.

Henry Comfort, co-founder and CEO of Geordie, commented: “Our platform, purpose-built for agents, ensures enterprises don’t have to choose between innovation and security. By offering real-time visibility into agent activity and aligning with enterprise policies and external frameworks, we’re building trust and providing the tools necessary for safe AI adoption.”
