Totalmobile, a leading field service management (FSM) technology provider, has partnered with Luton Borough Council to digitally transform the Council’s Repairs and Maintenance service. This initiative is a key part of the Council’s wider strategy to upgrade its housing system and enhance digital services.
The collaboration will introduce a new digital platform that provides:
- Real-time workforce management
- Advanced field working
- Asset management
- Performance monitoring
The goal is to deliver significant improvements for residents and internal teams by improving response times, streamlining operations, and reducing costs, while ensuring a more transparent service.
Ifti Awan, Project Manager at Luton Borough Council, expressed confidence in the partnership, citing Totalmobile’s proven public sector experience as essential for rapid modernisation.
Chris Hornung, Managing Director of Public Sector at Totalmobile, noted that the project is an example of how public sector organisations can use digital platforms to modernise critical services, aiming to deliver a faster, more responsive experience for both residents and frontline staff.
The tailored platform will integrate with the Council’s existing digital systems, providing field teams with real-time job information to facilitate faster decision-making and enhance accountability.
