Lenovo will join the White City Deep Tech Campus at Imperial College London to create a new hub for artificial intelligence innovation. The global technology company is expanding its research and development operations in the UK through this initiative. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The new site forms part of the Lenovo AI Technology Centre, which focuses on the deployment of secure and sustainable technologies. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Imperial College London was chosen as the partner for this project due to its academic standing, currently ranked second globally. The university contains a high concentration of researchers in computing and artificial intelligence, supporting an ecosystem of startups and spinout companies. Lenovo researchers will work at the White City campus alongside data scientists to focus on foundation models and intelligent systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The partnership aims to attract talent from across the UK and create new roles in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. This project follows previous collaborations between the two organisations, including the deployment of liquid-cooled computing systems for researchers. The new centre joins other planned locations in Edinburgh and Riyadh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project involves collaboration with the UK Government, including the Office for Foreign Investment and the Department of Business and Trade. Companies at the White City Deep Tech Campus have raised \u00a3410,000,000 since 2023. The campus is a central part of the White City Innovation District, a partnership between the university and the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
