Nyobolt, a firm specialising in high-power ultrafast charging technology based in Cambridge, has achieved a valuation of \u00a3787 million following a recent funding round. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The company had previously indicated in early January 2025 that it might exhaust its financial resources by the end of the first quarter of 2025 without new capital. This latest Series C round raised \u00a344 million and was headed by Symbotic, a company listed on the Nasdaq that focuses on robotics technology for supply chains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The company focuses on providing energy storage and charging solutions for autonomous machinery, physical AI applications and data centres. Last year, the firm reported that its technology provides up to 20 times more power than alternatives, allowing for charging within minutes and reducing downtime for intensive applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The company reported that its revenue increased fivefold over the past year due to rising demand for power within the physical AI and data centre sectors. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sai Shivareddy, co-founder and chief executive, stated: \u201cNyobolt is enabling the always-on, always-moving infrastructure that physical AI demands. The enterprises deploying autonomous systems at scale can\u2019t afford downtime, swap time, or power flickers. Our technology delivers a powerful trifecta: improved performance, exceptional durability, and a more sustainable operation, enabling a new generation of machines to run harder and smarter.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The firm’s technology is currently used in various autonomous robotics deployments, including the SymBot mobile robots. Nyobolt claims its battery offers six times the energy capacity of previously utilised ultracapacitors while being 40 per cent lighter. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The business is also moving into other areas, including work with a developer of humanoid robots, and growing its international reach into India through a Memorandum of Understanding with the state of Rajasthan. This agreement aims to establish over 100MW of off-grid AI data centres and power management infrastructure. This partnership is expected to be the first step in a larger expansion across various Indian states, with an emphasis on grid-independent energy storage and the integration of renewable energy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
