Robotics software startup Kinematic Trees has raised \u00a3585,000 in pre-seed funding to expand its technical platform and enlarge its engineering teams across Sheffield, London, and Nottinghamshire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The funding round was led by Haatch through its SEIS Fund, with participation from the D2N2 Early-Stage Angel Investment Fund and the British Business Bank Syndicate Fund.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Founded in 2025 by Dr Stuart Wilson and Daniel Camilleri, the company develops hardware-agnostic integration software designed to assist in deploying robotics across manufacturing, healthcare, education, and creative sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Chief executive Dr Stuart Wilson said: “Our robot-agnostic intelligence layer provides the software foundation to make robots more useful, adaptable and safe, while allowing advanced control systems and expertise to be reused across different hardware platforms.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Chief technology officer Daniel Camilleri said: “Our approach enables software to evolve across different robot embodiments, creating an ecosystem of reusable capabilities that can accelerate both industrial and consumer robotics.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The business plans to use the capital for product development, international operations, and hiring across its locations. Kinematic Trees also intends to launch its initial factory deployments later this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The investment reflects ongoing capital allocation trends, where early-stage British technology firms are using combined angel network and regional syndicate funding to support initial scaling phases. This regulatory context is directly relevant as it highlights the corporate framework through which pre-seed equity structures and venture capital instruments are registered by growing UK spin-outs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
