The UK government has launched a new cybersecurity competition in partnership with the SANS Institute aimed at identifying and nurturing young talent in the sector. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The UK Cyber Team Competition is open to individuals aged 18 to 25 from across the United Kingdom and will offer young people the chance to start a career in cybersecurity and represent the UK on the world stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Participants will be tested on their digital skills through a series of cyber challenges designed to assess their technical expertise and problem-solving abilities. The competition is designed to uncover the best young minds in cybersecurity and provide them with opportunities to represent the UK in international competitions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Those who excel in the competition will earn a place on the UK Cyber Team. Team members will receive advanced training and support from industry experts, as well as networking opportunities and mentorship to help them develop their careers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The government emphasised the importance of the competition in addressing the UK’s cyber skills gap and strengthening national security at a time when the demand for skilled cyber professionals is at an all-time high.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Cyber Security Minister Feryal Clark said: \u201cIn an increasingly digital world, cyber threats are evolving rapidly \u2013 and it\u2019s essential we stay ahead of the curve.
