TXP opens head office at Fort Dunlop with plans to create 100 jobs

TXP has opened a new head office in Birmingham and announced plans to create 100 jobs in the West Midlands over the next three years.
The digital consultancy and IT resourcing business, which trades as Technology X People, has chosen Fort Dunlop in Erdington as its headquarters. The company said the move would allow it to double its current workforce of around 190 staff.
The head office will be supported by regional offices in Dudley, Milton Keynes and London. TXP was formed when Aliter Capital LLP acquired Concept Resourcing, based in Dudley, and Solihull digital services provider Jumar. The two businesses were combined earlier this year under the TXP brand. In May, the firm also acquired Metatech Solutions Ltd, which continues to trade as Metatech from TXP and is based in Newcastle.
The company offers consultancy, technology development and people resources, and through TXP Talent provides recruitment services. It works with clients across public, private and non-profit sectors. Customers include The Shipowners Club, Phoebus Software, Beko and Capgemini. TXP assisted Capgemini by sourcing specialist IT graduates to support project delivery.
Paulette Hamilton, MP for Birmingham Erdington, said: “It’s always encouraging to see businesses choosing to invest in Birmingham. The creation of new jobs at Fort Dunlop is a welcome boost for the local economy, and I’m pleased to see continued growth and opportunity in our area. I look forward to being invited to hear more about what they’ll be doing.”
Chief executive John Antunes said: “The new head office enables TXP to take the next step in our journey. Our heritage in the area, coupled with Birmingham’s leading position in the UK business landscape – and its potential for future innovation – makes Fort Dunlop the perfect location to support growth.
“We’re excited about the future and the opportunities ahead and believe we can make a real impact on the West Midlands business community as TXP expands.”
The firm said it intends to grow both organically and through further acquisitions. It did not disclose details of the lease agreement for Fort Dunlop, which has recently added 150 parking spaces. The site’s 27,000 sq ft penthouse suite is also currently available following the departure of the Birmingham Post and Mail.
Backed by Aliter Capital, TXP continues to expand its client portfolio while aiming to strengthen its position in the region.
