BetaDen announces new partnerships to boost tech innovation
BetaDen, a leading technology accelerator, has announced the addition of four new partners to its award-winning Accelerate programme, which supports tech innovation and is set to commence its eighth cohort on 4 June.
The new partners bring a diverse range of specialisations, including research and development (R&D) tax credits, innovation grant applications, intellectual property (IP) rights, financial management, and legal support in corporate and commercial matters.
Apogee Associates, a Midlands-based consultancy specialising in R&D tax credits and innovation grant applications, will aid BetaDen’s Accelerate Cohort 8.0. They will assist in identifying and securing grant funding opportunities and provide strategic advice on navigating the complexities of R&D tax relief.
Wynne-Jones IP, an established UK and European firm known for its expertise in trademarks, patents, designs, IP strategy, and more, will continue its support for the BetaDen Accelerate programme. Having originally joined as a mentor during cohort 7.0, Wynne-Jones IP will again lend its expertise to the current cohort.
Jerroms, a prominent financial group from the Midlands and a long-time collaborator with BetaDen since its inception in 2018, will extend its involvement by offering comprehensive financial management advice to the new cohort.
Additionally, Higgs LLP, a distinguished law firm with roots in the Black Country since 1875, will provide specialist corporate commercial and legal advice, continuing its partnership with BetaDen for the second consecutive year.
Donston Powell, director of External Affairs at BetaDen, expressed his enthusiasm about the new partnerships: “We are delighted to welcome our new partners to BetaDen and would like to thank them for their support. The partnerships highlight our shared dedication to creating a dynamic tech ecosystem across the county, supporting local entrepreneurs to develop revolutionary innovations that will change the world right here, in the heart of the country.”
He added, “We are confident that our founders will gain valuable insights from Apogee, Wynne-Jones IP, Jerroms, and Higgs LLP. Their expertise and support will prove invaluable as our founders navigate their route to market.”
The businesses that will be joining Accelerate Cohort 8.0 will be announced shortly. In a related development, BetaDen also recently partnered with Barclays Eagle Labs to establish a new technology incubator in Worcester, further cementing its role in fostering technological innovation.
