Intercity Technology joins the G-Cloud
Birmingham-based comms and IT specialist Intercity Technology has secured its place on the G-Cloud framework, strengthening its reputation as an expert in delivering IT services to the public sector.
G-cloud 8, effective from 1 August 2016, is the latest version of the framework that allows public sector organisations to quickly source and hire approved cloud IT suppliers through the Government’s Digital Marketplace portal.
Each organisation must go through a rigorous application and selection process, including a supplier declaration, submitting service information, and compliance checks. This is to ensure that only trusted providers are selected for the framework.
This success follows Intercity Technology’s acquisition of IT services provider Imerja earlier this year, a company that has been listed on the the G-Cloud for five years in succession. Intercity Technology is now able to deliver services across all four areas of the framework, namely Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), Software as a Service (SaaS) and Specialist Cloud Services, offering an extended range of solutions including Video-as-a-Service (VaaS) and unified communications product Touch Telephony.
Andrew Jackson, CEO of Intercity Technology, said: “Our inclusion on the G-Cloud framework is a fantastic opportunity to develop our relationship with public sector organisations, including government, healthcare and blue light services.
“This success is a critical milestone in the development of our business and highlights the innovative nature of our company. The fact that we are one of only 3.5% of suppliers that have passed on all four classes of the G-Cloud really shows the strength of the solutions that we can offer.”
